Blue printing or resist printed textiles dyed with indigo
The project is supported by The National Swedish Handicraft Council (Nämnden för Hemslöjdsfrågor).
In June 2023 I had the opportunity to study at a dye house in Györ, Hungary.
This picture shows the end product of this study. During my stay I could follow and take part in the whole process of blue printing.
My pattern is inspired by japanese block prints and the beautiful pine trees in Sweden.

SSDD 2023 – exhibition 25th-28th May
This year’s SSDD theme is ‘Dissonance’ and I will be opening up my atelier.
My contribution is about pigments that I extract from the plants that I grew. Indigo is again in focus, but there will be other colours too.
